Have you ever heard of Jim Bowie and his adventures in the wild west of Texas? He spent time in Menard County prior to the battle of the Alamo. He was here looking for Spanish silver that had supposedly been lost or hidden by the Spanish when they retreated out of Menard County in the 1750s after some brutal attacks by local Indians. So the legend of the “Lost Silver-mine” was born. 

The Lost Silvermine RV Park was named to keep the memory of this legend alive.

Today we stand with our friends and family who have lost loved ones and brothers-in-arms serving our country. We will never forget the sacrifices of our heroes and their families.
