Our very first morning at Silobration! 🤍✨

After months of dreaming, planning, pouring and preparing, we can hardly believe we’re finally here in Waco, Texas!

Being part of an event we’ve admired for so long is truly a pinch-me moment for our little Michigan candle company. We’re feeling incredibly grateful for this opportunity and so excited to share a little piece of Applewood with everyone visiting Magnolia this weekend.

From our little candle studio in Michigan to Magnolia’s Silobration in Waco, Texas. 🤍

It’s hard to put into words just how special this moment feels.

Months of planning, countless candles hand-poured and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work have brought us here… and we’re just getting started!

Yesterday was all about scouting our space, unloading pallets and beginning to bring our little corner of Silobration to life.

Here's how to translate 🕯️

It's tunneling. It wants a longer burn. Let the wax melt ALMOST all the way to the edge, we say 3/4 of the way is the sweet spot for the first few burns. Fun fact… coconut-soy wax may not reach the edge of the vessel until it has been burned a handful of times… this is our built-in safety feature (and it makes your candle last longer!)

The flame is tall, flickery or smoky. Time for a trim… and move it away from drafts.

Your wooden wick won't stay lit. It's probably too long or wax is drowning it. Trim it and give it room to breathe.

It stopped crackling. Usually the same fix: trim the wick and relight.

See the common theme here? For Applewood wooden wicks, trim to 3/16 inch before lighting (yes, every single time that you re-light your candle). The easy guide: set your Applewood wick trimmer directly on the wax and trim. It may feel short, but wooden wicks perform better shorter than longer.

And one rule for every candle: no more than four hours at a time.

A good candle deserves a good burn. Save this for your next cozy night in.
