🍪 Potluck-Style Gathering
Please bring a snack, dessert, or finger food to share with your neighbors and friends.
🌞 Come enjoy a day of swimming, fellowship, and summer fun with the community!

✅ NO POOL CARD REQUIRED FOR OPENING DAY
✅ Beginning after Opening Day, all members using the pool will be required to have a valid pool card.

💙 Donations are also welcome!
If you have new or gently used pool floats, pool noodles, water toys, or other pool-friendly items that you would like to donate for community use, they would be greatly appreciated.

As we welcome another summer of fun, we're looking for volunteers to help monitor the pool area and assist with keeping our community amenities safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
📍 Volunteer Requirements
✅ Must be a POA member in good standing
✅ Must complete a volunteer application at the office
✅ Must be willing to help promote a safe and family-friendly environment

Our pool is one of the amenities that brings neighbors, friends, and families together each summer. With community involvement, we can help ensure everyone has a great season.

🍎 FREE SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM 🍎
The Free Summer Lunch Program is available inside the Woodland Lakes Clubhouse for children and teens ages 0–18 years old throughout the summer.
📍 Woodland Lakes Clubhouse

📅 Monday–Friday (June thru August)
🕚 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
No child should go hungry during summer break. Please help spread the word so families in our community can take advantage of this wonderful program.

Announcement:

Bathhouse Removal Proposal – Walnut Lane

We have an old bathhouse on Walnut Lane that has become unsafe to leave standing. The structure is in such poor condition that it cannot be remodeled or repaired. For safety reasons, we believe the best course of action is to tear it down and remove it completely.
We have received a quote, and the entire teardown and removal can be done for $2,500.
Removing the building will eliminate the eyesore, prevent potential injuries, and improve the appearance and safety of the area.

Announcement:

Boat Sticker Notice for Members in Good Standing

We now have boat decals available for all members in good standing. If you have a boat and plan to put it in any of our lakes, please stop by the Clubhouse during normal business hours to pick up your two decals.
One decal must be placed on each side of your boat.
This helps us easily identify authorized boats and prevent unauthorized use of the lakes.
Having decals on your boat is mandatory for anyone putting a boat in the water. The bright orange stickers allow us to see from the shore that you’re authorized, so we don’t have to interrupt your fishing or call you over unnecessarily.
We truly hate to charge for these, but the decals are an added expense outside of what your dues cover.
Community funds were used to purchase them, and we want to reimburse that cost.
Unfortunately, we’ve had too many situations where people who are behind on dues — or who don’t even live here — have been putting boats in the lakes. These decals will help us protect the lakes for the members who support the community.

📢 POA Directors Announcement
The well at Trophy Lake has been successfully repaired. The total cost of the repair was $10,500, and the system is now fully operational with water service restored.
Thank you for your patience while this work was being completed.
The next well scheduled for repair will be at White Heron. We will continue to provide updates as progress is made.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to maintain and improve our community’s infrastructure.

🚫 Fire Ban Notice 🚫
Per the Midway Fire Marshal Division, a burn ban has been announced to the POA Board due to dry and windy conditions.
For everyone’s safety, please do not burn anything outdoors. Anyone found in violation of this ban may be subject to fines.

Due to the dry conditions; the local Fire Chief asks that no one burn leaves, limbs, yard waste, etc. We have had several incidents in the last week with unattended fires.

Permit Requirements:

Hand-piled yard debris: As of 2021, no permit is required from the Georgia Forestry Commission for leaf piles and limbs, though safety precautions (distance from structures, water source nearby) are mandatory.

Larger burns: Land clearing or machine-piled debris still require a permit.

📢 Community Help Needed –
Certified Pool Operator

Woodland Lakes Resort is currently looking for a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) to help manage the community pool this season.
We are hoping someone in the community who already has the certification or is willing to obtain it may be able to volunteer.
If we are unable to find a volunteer, the POA may need to hire a professional service, which would increase costs for the community.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the Woodland Lakes POA office.
