A: Thurs - Mon, 7am - 3pm. Q: What are you offering? A: We have a coffee bar and a casual dining space. We have fresh-baked organic pastries, organic coffee (both drip and espresso), bagel sandwiches, paninis, soups, quiches, and more. We use local ingredients from sustainable farms as much as we can. Come on in for breakfast, lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, or just a coffee. Q: What took you so lon
g to open? A: Plumbing problems, electrical problems, roof leaks, furnace issues - let's just say that renovating a 140-year-old building that stood vacant for half a decade is not for the faint of heart! What about the bar? A: We're still getting the bar space ready for customers, and getting ready to put in our application for a liquor license. We hope to have dinners and drinks (with a focus on local wines, beers, ciders, and spirits) early next year. Q: Why the focus on local? A: We try to live our values. We think Central New York makes great farm products, we eat them at home, and we want to serve them to you. We believe that supporting family farms and small businesses is good for people's health, our community's economy, and the environment. Q: How much of your food is organic? A: Our coffee is all certified organic and fair trade. Our milk is all organic, and from a local dairy as much as possible (according to availability). Our baked goods are made from organic flour. Some of our produce is not certified organic (small family farms often can't afford the certification process), but we value local farmers who use sustainable practices.
