On Monday, September 7, Arnold Transit is offering convenient ferry service between Mackinaw City and St. Ignace to help you enjoy one of Michigan’s favorite Labor Day traditions!

🕕 Departures from both docks:
6:00 AM • 7:00 AM • 8:00 AM • 10:00 AM
11:00 AM • 12:00 PM • 1:00 PM • 2:00 PM

• Adults: $25
• Children (5–12): $15
• Children 4 & under: FREE

🌉 Mark Your Calendar — The 2026 Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk is Coming and it's exactly one month from today! 🌉

Lace up your walking shoes and experience one of Michigan’s most iconic traditions! The 2026 Annual Bridge Walk is scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026.

The Mackinac Bridge will be closed to public traffic from 6:30 a.m. to noon to allow thousands of participants to enjoy this unforgettable walk across the Mighty Mac.

🚶 Event Details:
📅 Monday, September 7, 2026
⏰ Walk begins at approximately 7:00 a.m.
📍 Start from either St. Ignace (north end) or Mackinaw City (south end)
✅ No registration required
✅ No fee to participate
🏅 Bridge Walk certificates will be available at both ends of the bridge

Participants have several options — walk from either end and turn around at the midpoint, cross the entire bridge, or complete the full 10-mile round trip. Please plan ahead, as bus transportation across the bridge will not be provided this year. Those crossing to the opposite side will need to arrange their own transportation back after the bridge reopens at noon.

A few reminders:
🚫 No bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, wagons, umbrellas, signs, banners, or pets (except working service dogs)
🚫 No running or racing
🚶 Stay in designated walking lanes
🚻 No restrooms are available on the bridge (portable toilets will be available in St. Ignace and Mackinaw City)

The walk takes approximately two hours, so come prepared with comfortable shoes, water, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Whether this is your first Bridge Walk or a yearly tradition, there’s nothing quite like standing above the Straits of Mackinac and taking in the breathtaking views from the Mighty Mac! 💙

Support these riders honoring veterans with PTSD

This Saturday, July 25, let's line the streets of St. Ignace and give these incredible riders a warm hometown welcome! 🏍️

More than 300 motorcycles will roll across the Mackinac Bridge between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m., travel through downtown St. Ignace, and make a stop at the Little Bear East Arena before continuing on their journey.

These riders are raising funds to support Veterans and those living with PTSD. Let's show our appreciation by waving flags, cheering them on, and filling the streets with community support.

Join us Saturday morning and help make their stop in St. Ignace one they'll never forget! ❤️🤍💙
