There is nothing better to me than Fatherhood. My biggest joys come from watching my children succeed.
In the last year, I had one of the proudest days of my life...
My younger son, Daniel performed the lead role on Broadway in the musical The Book of Mormon. Watching him perform on that stage was surreal.
Knowing that he has entered a brand new season as a Broadway actor is exciting and terrifying at the same time.
I tried hard to teach him HOW to make good decisions (and demonstrated some bad ones!) so that he won't make some of the bone head moves that I have done.
Now, his success is up to him.
Something I read the other day is a priceless bit of wisdom that I'll never forget and I'll continue to pass down for generations...
"It's not your IQ that matters... It's your I CAN."
Powerful, right?
Take a moment today, be present, and hug your father figures a little tighter, and your kids/grand kids a little longer.
Life moves fast and you blink, and they aren't kids anymore. 🥹
