Rc friends and friends from all walks of life. This is my local rc field that many of you who know me at all know i was very passionate about being a active member of for many many years. Though work has taken up most of my time over the last year or two the Dayton Wingmasters have and always will hold a very dear place in my heart. Many of you know Santiago Panzardi and i from our joint venture with Justin Pucci known as MODEL HELICOPTER SPEED FLYING ASSOCIATION “MHSFA” with out this field Santiago and i would have never crossed paths and RC HELICOPTER SPEED RACING WOULD NOT BE WHAT IT IS TODAY. This public club” The Dayton Wingmasters “ has given to the local communities in many many ways over the years and prides it self in doing so. Unfortunately with the sheer craziness of the tornado out breaks on Memorial day “night time “ (14-15 tornados in all, with damage to several surrounding cities and a DIRECT HIT OF A F4 tornado to the north Dayton area) in which our beloved club is located just slightly west of the wagner-ford siebenthaler area on I75 in Dayton. Our field (which was once well known as one of the NICEST CLUBS in the USA ) took a direct hit. The only things left are the runway and a concrete pad where our picnic shelter once stood. 2 sheds containing several trainer airplanes and support equipment which was used every wed evening through out the summer to provide FREE training to any and allo who showed to to learn to fly rc was completely lost. Also our mowers and equipment to take care of the facility, cooking equipment, grills , rc pinbox/ charging facility, several hundred feet of chain link fencing, signage and so much more was completely lost!! There has been a go-fund me acct started for easy and safety of giving back to this very important non profit community organization. PLEASE if you have ever attended an event here , flown here with me or and of the other wonderful club members , or just came out to spectate at one of the MANY CLUB SUPPORTED community fund raisers ,please see it fit for your charitable donation so that we can put this WONDERFUL venue back ti the way it was so that every one may know the wonders of The Dayton Wingmasters for many years to come. Thank you all in advance for your continued support.
