It's amazing how a space can go from "it needs a little something" to "yes, that's it! with a fairly simple change. I ordered Barn Light fixtures for our new Southbound Stays Florida home because it felt like the space was just missing something. ⁠

Let's talk about full length mirrors... do you have them in every room? Having traveled extensively for both business and leisure in downtown areas, beaches or even mountain getaways I will always say a full length mirror is necessary. Am I right, ladies?

I love finding little nooks and crannies in homes to maximize space and leverage amenities. This space holds a doggie "basket", books and family-friendly toys. Bonus: we were able to utilize these shelves that the owner already had on hand!

My "desk" these days is a growing reminder that meeting my baby boy is getting closer and closer (less than 5 weeks to be exact). It's also a reminder that it's nearly time to hand over the reigns (temporarily) of my Southbound Stays rentals to a friend so I can take some time to acclimate to motherhood.

Though I had some great processes in place, much of them lived in my head. Not exactly a place where someone else could easily access them. Over the last few months, I started documenting every little thing I did related to my rentals and creating a "workflow" of all of my automations. Most of this I built out using a project management tool called Asana.

The experience has been eye opening to say the least and it's something I would encourage any solopreneur to do. Baby or not, you should always think about how someone could pick up where you left off if you had to step away temporarily.

For many owners & managers, this is a slower time of year which is a GREAT time to take advantage of getting your processes and systems in place.

For now, I suggest staringt by jotting things down on a notepad or in your notes on your phone as you do them throughout the day. You can always work on organization and sorting later! :) I'll be sharing some tips I've learned through this process in the coming weeks/ months as well!
