Mission accomplished.

We had a really awesome celebratory seafood dinner Monday night in Miami! We have driven all together close to 5000 miles, we’ve drove to and from Miami Florida twice, had stop offs in other various places but alas! we’ve come to the first (and most difficult) milestone of the boat restoration journey!

Goodbye “Coffee Break”! HEEELLOOOO “Valentine V”! Our little boat has had many names, but when it rolled out of the factory in 1939, her name was “Valentine V”. ❤️

 With a name like that who couldn’t imagine romantic date - dinner cruises, and mini-weddings?

Today we got to really tear into the ribs and subfloor of the boat! There was quite a bit of rot but thankfully the outer bottom planks are still in amazing shape for 84 years! Our Chris Craft was one of only 3 made. We would love to know if the other two are still afloat! 1939 Chris Craft Custom Express.
