Happy Dolly Day, Nashville! 🦋💕 Today, 9/25, Music City is coming together for the first annual Dolly Day - a citywide celebration of Dolly Parton’s music, generosity, kindness and the incredible legacy she left behind. And of course, the date is a nod to “9 to 5.”
There are SO many ways to celebrate!
💕At 5 PM, participating music venues across the city will perform “9 to 5,” including Broadway favorites like AJ’s Good Time Bar, Chief’s, H***y Tonk Central, Jason Aldean’s, Luke’s 32 Bridge, Friends in Low Places, Tootsie’s, Tin Roof, Ole Red, Casa Rosa, This Bar and more.
🦋Friends in Low Places is donating every dollar brought in today to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Nashville Public Library, plus collecting children’s books.
🎶 Musicians Hall of Fame is celebrating with Dolly-inspired activities and live acoustic music from 11–3, with $9.25 from every regular admission donated to the Imagination Library.
💕Centennial Park is celebrating throughout the day with Dolly-inspired treats, a book drive and free live music at Musicians Corner beginning at 5 PM — plus the Parthenon will glow pink after dark.
✨Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville is turning Buddy’s Backroom into a Dolly’s 9 to 5 Speakeasy Pop-Up all weekend with Dolly-inspired cocktails, decor, photo ops and plenty of pink and sparkle.
💗Nashville landmarks, including the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge and Historic Metro Courthouse/City Hall, will light up pink. You can also grab free Dolly Day buttons, stickers and bookmarks at the Bridgestone Arena and Fifth + Broadway Visitor Centers while supplies last.
🎆And at 9:25 PM, look toward downtown for a special fireworks tribute to close out Dolly Day!
So wear your pink, add a little extra sparkle, listen to some Dolly, support a good cause and do something kind for somebody today. That feels like the perfect way for Nashville to celebrate her. 💕🦋✨
