2026 MOHHC Teacher Fellow Introduction
We are excited to announce the members of our 2026 MOHHC Teacher Fellowship cohort. Please help us welcome Bruce Stubblefield back to the Program!
Bruce Stubblefield is a social studies educator with over 12 years of experience and currently teaches at Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He previously served as the 9 to 12 Social Studies Content Lead for Hamilton County Schools, providing curriculum leadership across more than 40 schools, and has taught Economics, IB History of the Americas, and US History with a strong focus on inquiry based learning and civic engagement.
Bruce is President of the Tennessee Council for the Social Studies, serves on the Board of Delegates for the National Council for the Social Studies, and has been a Senior Fellow with the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center Teacher Fellowship for the past four years. He led district-wide implementation of the Inquiry Design Model and received the Tennessee Financial Literacy Leadership Award in 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama.
Bruce is married to an educator and is the father of three sons. Outside the classroom, he enjoys reading history and science fiction, hiking and camping, soccer, college football, video games, and yard work.
