Posting for memories sake more than anything. This was the condition of the complex after the storm. Mostly debri and hardly any true damage.

Our electric is back on and word just came out today that they hope to have the water back on for the rest of the island today. And that the evacuation orders have been lifted so people can go back to the island (though no one was stopping them in the first place).

Now to get the water going so our cleaner can clean the unit and we can open it back up for bookings!

Santa Rosa County has issued an evacuation order for Zones A and B, low-lying areas and mobile homes in Santa Rosa County. Don’t wait, evacuate! Evacuation only needs to be tens of miles, not hundreds, to be safe.

Get off the island now before you can't get off!

Fire and Rescue is also leaving the island so if you stay, you are on your own!

UGH. Thankfully, and hopefully, our guest gets out on time. They cut their trip short and said they would be leaving by 1pm. They may get stuck on the roads but there wasn't much more we could do about it as we gave them plenty of heads up on this coming in. The storm keeps getting stronger. Prediction is High CAT 2 to Low CAT 3 conditions at landfall. Watching webcams as late into the day as I can and as long as they stay up!

Thursday 11am ET NHC update on Hurricane Isaias. Still strengthening. Similar track as before. Expected to peak at 110mph with some weakening before landfall. NHC: "Isaias is expected to remain a dangerous hurricane through landfall, and gusty winds are expected well inland after landfall given the anticipated expansion of the wind field and accelerating forward speed of the storm." Winds now 85mph. Pressure 975mb. Moving ENE at 10mph. www.spaghettimodels.com

Current storm surge predictions. We are the little blue X (well as close as I could get on this map). Having some flash backs to Hurricane Sally in 2026. They say the east side of the storm is the worst and of course that is the side we are on. Buckle up......

NEW CONE! Hurricane Watches are now up along the upper Gulf in pink. Tropical Storm Watches in yellow. Latest Wednesday track here. Little nudge east again. NHC talking rapid intensification possible. Still showing peak at 110mph before some weakening towards landfall. But they note winds might not come down much. So IMO don't think hearing weakening minimizes impacts. www.spaghettimodels.com

This is part of living the outdoors life! The boys did amazing getting out on their first pheasant hunt of the season. On to waterfowl for Karn tomorrow. Let's hope birds co-operate and that we shoot straight!
I haven't started Jasper (grass face lol) on waterfowl work really yet so he won't be with tomorrow.

Get it boys! It's airshow weekend and this is an awesome way to kick it off! I promise you those people are not scared but thrilled! We love the Blues!
