One of my True Loves: Music 🎶

I feel very lucky to have grown up solely listening to my parents CDs, because my parents were hippies, & they knew what was up. I developed & still foster a deep appreciation for every small corner of the Classic Rock world.

Later, via many carpools to work with my brother, I got introduced to some 90s classics like Sublime & Pearl Jam which led me to deep dive into those genres as well.

Then there was the infamous “I’m obsessed with The Beatles” phase, which is really a hard one to avoid. This is probably when I discovered another facet of music, the story. Geeking out on the history of a band or artist soon became a favorite past time-I think it’s cool to understand how the sound developed, the lived behind the lyrics.

I think I love music because, for me, it’s the art form that emanates & evokes such raw emotion. A song or artist can really transport you back to a certain time in your life (for better or worse) and I just think that’s so powerful.

If there’s live music, I’m there. I’m singing, I’m joyful, I’m thriving. Give me all the music.
