Caption: Luxury is a well-cut coat, not a logo.
I spent years working in luxury fashion, and one thing that experience taught me is that the best pieces rarely need to announce themselves. You notice the difference in the cut, the fabric, the craftsmanship and the thought that went into making something well.
I look for that same quality when we choose the hotels and experiences we recommend at TLBH.
A hotel can have five stars and still feel impersonal. Another might be much smaller, but have a character, and a sense of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. That’s why we’re drawn to independent properties with personality. When we recommend a hotel, we’re looking beyond the label. We’re paying attention to how it was designed, how it feels, what makes it special and whether the experience feels genuinely considered.
For me, luxury is recognizing quality without needing to be told what makes it luxurious.
