When we were initially contacted frankly I wondered if it was a scam. We or at least I don’t see myself through the same lenses as others view me. The author interviewed me in a very interesting and private manner. It felt intimate and personal as much about me as how I work and well the end result is very flattering and yes an intimate, unique take on how I work with my clients and ultimately design, not dissimilar from the actual relationships I have with my wonderful clients.

This year I was fortunate and frankly surprised to once again be nominated for a Grace award. The awards are modeled after the academy awards with a couple of new distinctions. This year they’re not telling us which Window treatment or category we’re nominated for. Unlike the academy awards only two awards are given for each nominee first or second place so you do know that you are winning something if you’re nominated. The building suspense this year is killing me and one of my clients spaces will make national history.
As an FYI I was told that the competition this year was so tight that some window treatments lost by a single point to another that had a 100%. Unheard of in previous years and that the window treatments were the most phenomenal they’ve ever had the pleasure of judging.

Let’s discuss design risks and fears. Safe, light colored walls don’t necessarily brighten a north facing space. I love when I can lean into something and make it special. Sometimes small changes create big impact . This dramatic, deep blue Moire wall covering is no exception and transforms and brightens elevating the entire space and spaces around it.
