Today, and always, we honor Bryan O’Neal. Gone too soon. There truly are no words big enough for the loss we feel...
As an employee, there was nothing more you could ask for. Bryan showed up every single day with a smile on his face, even when his Orlando Magic weren’t doing so well.
Bryan’s work ethic and charisma were unmatched. Anyone who has worked in restaurants knows every place has that person...the one everyone counted on, the one who holds everything together. Bryan was that person. He was our heart and soul. Everybody loved him, and everybody went to him for guidance.
When IGC Hospitality opened The Wilson in Orlando, FL, the biggest thing we were searching for was people. Nobody answered that call more than Bryan, and since he had worked at the Meliá Hotel property for many years...we relied on him heavily. He was driven by passion, loyalty, and love for his team. If you asked Bryan to get something done, you knew it was getting done. You never had to guess how he was feeling or what he thought, he was as honest as they come, and that made working alongside him a breeze.
Outside of work, you could see how deeply he loved his life, his family, and especially his beautiful wife, Franny. He worked hard and played hard. It wasn’t unusual for us to get texts or Basecamp messages from him while he was supposed to be relaxing on a cruise with his wife. That’s just who he was...always thinking about the people around him.
From everyone in Florida, to the loved ones flying in to pay their respects, to those who wish they could be there as he is laid to rest, Bryan’s impact reaches farther than words can describe. There is nothing anyone can say to make this easier, but for Bryan, we will continue to show up.
Bryan, from The Wilson family and the entire IGC Hospitality crew...you will forever be missed, forever remembered, and forever part of us. ❤️
