The Rainforest House offers the experience of staying in the Mata Atlantic rainforest and waking to the sights, sounds and smells of the jungle. The house is situated on the hiking trail that leads to one of the top beaches in the world - Lopes Mendes. Arrival information:

Please remember to advise us at least

a day in advance of your arrival plans. We will meet guests upon arrival for guests opting to use Easy Transfer Brazil. These guests hop off the boat at the first stop at Aquario Youth Hostel. If you miss the first stop, please go to the Beach House as below. For all other guests please follow the directions to the Beach House where we will have someone waiting to meet you and take you up to the house. If you will need help with your bags, please let us know in advance as well. We will find porters to help carry them up to the house. They typically charge R$ 50,00-60,00 for a very big bag. The Beach House Arrival Information –

Getting to the Beach House is very easy and about a 5-7 minute walk from the center of town where most boats arrive. You can either take the beach (water behind you) to the left or walk one block into town and make a left on Getulio Vargas Road which runs parallel to the beach. If you go by the beach, will have to pass through some water so if you are wearing proper shoes or sneakers take the longer way around on the main road Getúlio Vargas. Follow the beach 5 minutes to the house or the road until it ends on the beach. In front of the house are Brazilian flags in the sand and kayaks for rent. There is a beach bar called Café do Mar next door. If you miss your boat, please advise us. Text messages are very helpful if you can’t get through with a call.
