Some memories are too special to stay hidden on an old phone.

Yesterday, I found this video from 5½ years ago of my daughter and nephew doing what kids do best, using their imagination. They grabbed the camera themselves and headed into the woods above The Hillside at Diamond Falls, searching for salamanders, telling stories, and creating adventures all on their own.

Watching it now reminds me that the greatest moments in life aren’t planned. They’re the simple, innocent ones that become lifelong memories.

To think they’re the 5th generation to grow up exploring these same woods makes this video even more meaningful. Five generations of laughter, curiosity, and childhood adventures on the very same hillside. ❤️
