Our creators and artisans will be lining Oak Street and The Cake Lady & Co and Girly Pop Alger will be bringing breakfast, treats, and drinks! Scrumptious cinnamon rolls, refreshing blends of your favorite beverages, and divine breakfast bowls all await you at the Makers Market!!

L I L A C S E A S O N

It's lilac season in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Which got me to wondering...

Will you be doing faux or fresh flowers for your wedding? If fresh, will you be doing them on your own after buying in bulk, using wildflowers (I've seen some beautiful installation of this) or will you use a florist. No matter your choice, I know it will be beautiful!

While celebrating our anniversary this weekend in Petoskey… we happened upon the most wonderful winery, called Gabriel Farms & Winery.

The people are truly what make a place and this place had that in spades. Great people and a wonderful vibe!

The wine and beer were delicious and by happenstance, we struck up a conversation with one of the owners, Kristi Schuil. She was so down to earth and genuine, and gave us great background information on the winery and farm and she even took us on an impromptu tour!

I loved the barn that is available for rental for events and weddings, and the grounds were just impeccably kept and so beautiful! The Schuil’s do it all themselves, too!

If you are ever in Petoskey… I would highly recommend you stop in and check it all out! If you’re looking to book a shower wedding or other event, definitely check out the cool barn venue, also!

WE LOVE A GOOD WEDDING! THIS WAS OURS, 35 YEARS AGO TODAY!

35 years ago today, it was our turn to get married! I remember it as if it were yesterday....and we treat your wedding like we did our own, giving the same care and attention to your special day we gave to ours and to our daughter's almost a few years back.
