First day in NYC!!! Spectacular. It was a bucket list trip. Had to see THE TREE and it did not disappoint. The story of this year's tree was that it was planted the year Albert and Leslie Albert were married back in 1967 in Massachusetts. Decorating it every year until it was too big. Just days before being asked to donate their tree, Leslie had passed away. Considering it an honor, Albert agreed as a tribute to his wife. Just before the tree lighting, Albert had a stroke. They're saying this year's tree is a love story. Just what the world needs now is more love ❤️ I feel blessed to have chosen this year to go and this to be the tree.

Then on to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. It was a perfect night that didn't want to end. Since we couldn't get a ride home haha

Old Point Comfort Lighthouse at Fort Monroe. Built in 1802. There are indications the Native Americans kept wood fires burning at the point to guide Spanish ships in the 1600's. After building Fort Monroe, it became an integral part of the Union’s defense during the Civil War. It is now registered as a national landmark.
