We are proud to announce that 100% of 32 Mile OHT-Sylamore Section has been cleared of deadfall, tread-creep and almost all leaves. Get out there and enjoy and remember to sign in at the various locations along the Trail. Enjoy!!!

What an inspirational effort. This section of the Ozark Highlands Trail is great challenge for even the most grizzled and experienced trail runners. Cliff Pittman pushed the limits but ultimately fell just short of the FKT. He’s the type of guy that will surely show up next time better than ever and undoubtedly lower the standard. What a fun day!

Just rolled through Moccasin Trailhead (mile 9) at 1:38. Moving well and about 4 minutes off CR pace but the hardest section is done.

The Sylamore Section just keeps getting better! The trail is in great condition and now all the mile markers have been updated. Let us know at Norfork Adventure Supply if you'd like to set up a shuttle.

We've begun clearing leaves on the Sylamore Section. Starting at Matney K**b and working our way South. Covered roughly two miles this morning. We'll keep posting updates and pics as we move along.

Trail work has officially begun on the Sylamore Section. The first mile going South from Matney K**b (Northern Terminus) has been trimmed and we'll be working on lopping the corridor this week. We'll continue to post updates as more progress is made.

For those interested, the Ozark Highlands Trail Association is hosting a Basecamp at Blanchard Springs Recreation Area this Friday-Sunday. Free Camping and meals. We'll be working on the section Spring Creek TH to Moccasin Springs TH and would love to see more volunteers. Message for more details.

North Central Arkansas Master Naturalists - NCAMN "Trail Patrol" cleared deadfall and trimmed the 4.5 mile stretch from Twin Creek crossing of Push Mountain Hwy and the Brush Creek Trailhead. Ran it yesterday and it was amazing! Brush Creek TH is the turnaround for the Ozark Highlands Endurance Run 50K held annually in March.
