Good Evening Holualoa Community
Please join me this upcoming Holualoa First Friday Oct 4th from 430pm - 630pm at my Shop to view the Holualoa Elementary Design Boards and fill out a comment card to cast your vote or make comments and suggestions.

DOE is giving us until the end of October to get in as much suggestions from their community. This is our chance to voice our concerns, suggestions and bring your valued experience, expertise and opinions to the table.

DOE only does so much marketing and communication, so it is up to us as a community to spread the word and do our part. This is my small part to contribute to our next generation, and those to come. Please spread the word, share, stop by.

HIDOE Design Options for New Holualoa Elementary School

Last night I attended a meeting to discuss future plans and design options for the new Holualoa Elementary School.
Teachers, staff, community members and parents voiced their concerns and opinions on the three different design plans, recent issues with mold, overall safety, historical heritage sites, road traffic, surrounding neighbors, ADA compliance, parking and especially not being given enough notice to make sure the community could be present to be apart of the process and help make these big decisions.

At the end of the meeting I was able to suggest the DOE and design team to let Holualoa keep the design boards so it gives the community ample time to view and help make suggestions, as well as cast their vote for which of the three design options to work towards and build upon. DOE is granting the Holualoa Community to the end of October 2024 to cast their vote and submit a comment card. (Please visit my Instagram for the link to the plans & comment card)

It is so exciting to have the opportunity to be apart of this build and to give future generations a beautiful space to learn and grow.
And it takes all parties, in all fields and all sides, to make a project of this capacity happen.

I encourage everyone, to be open to suggestion & compromise, to be mindful of the time and effort it takes during the building process, and the humility to think outside yourself, and work towards building a school our children and teachers deserve.

I will continue to work with DOE and Holualoa Elementary to make sure these boards make it to a public space for everyone to review.

Throwing it back to one of my favorite staging projects for a home I had the pleasure of working on. We remodeled the kitchen and entryway. When it came time to photograph this property for their rental program, I was excited to switch gears abs test my creativity.
Layering an authentic island experience, straight from the beach to table backpack & & a table setting that’s not complete without
Truly enjoyed this 2 days of prep and installing with my bestie always killing it with her .kanani
And thankful for my husband for refinishing this beautiful teak dining table. It was a family affair, Big Island Style.

Nearing the end of my this Remodel & Furniture project and getting excited to see its completion.
This family had a clear vision of what they wanted their new home to look and feel like.

My approach with every project is to listen to my client’s personal needs and taste, layered with my knowledge and expertise, and a dash of my secret special sauce 😉
This makes every project different & uniquely their own.

We have been quiet and taking our time over at our new Boutique in Holualoa Town. I wanted to share that one of our local artists .art will be gracing our space with her beautiful art, that hits close to home.
January 2023 we are due to open where you can view and purchase her work.
Looking toward to sharing with you all.

Aloha All, I am bummed we have to postpone our grand opening and blessing.
Something very special is happening in Oahu for my Auntie that we cannot miss. My auntie ginny is starring in a film, representing my Hawai’i Ohana, and it is my duty to stand and support her, the way my grandma would have wanted.
This year has brought so many blessings to my family, and I am looking forward to kicking off the new year with a bang!
