We highly recommend visiting Fern Canyon. Make sure to book your permit ahead of time. They fill up quick (a few permits available the day before)

Big news for Orick! The Shoreline Gas Station is now owned and managed by the Yurok Tribe, an exciting investment in our community’s future.

The station is temporarily closed as the Tribe completes assessments and prepares for reopening.

In the meantime:
• South: Fuel available in Trinidad (~20 miles south)
• North: Fuel available in Klamath (~20 miles north)

A reopening date hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll share updates as soon as we have them. Thank you to the Yurok Tribe for their leadership and commitment to our region!

Kayak rentals just 10 minutes South

It’s that time of year 🌊☀️ Come up to Stone Lagoon for a beautiful day on the water!

Kayak rentals include a life vest, paddles, and dry bags. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can reserve your spot by phone or online.

I spent the last 3-days completing the Wilderness First Responder recertification through the Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School ( NOLS )

This is a requirement for my guide permits in Redwood National Park, and an extremely valuable training I wish everyone could take sometime in their lives.
