Biketoberfest Visitors! The Makai Beach Resort is closed due to damages from Hurricane Milton.
Based on current assessments, we will likely be closed 2-3 months.
However, we will still be able to offer paid trailer parking on our property across the street and North end of the hotel parking lot by our lodge.

A parking tag/permit will need to be obtained at the front desk of The Makai. $35 per day. 2pm-10pm Thursday-Saturday.

Please be advised, any parking without a permit will be towed at owners expense.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe Biketoberfest!

We look forward to being able to welcome all of our guests again after repairs and renovations have been completed.

The Makai is a classic Florida oceanfront hotel in the beautiful Ormond Beach community, minutes from the World's Famous Daytona Beach. The Makai has been a destination for families since the 1950's. We are currently renovating to welcome our guests!

To all of our guests with reservations this weekend.
We have significant damage that will need to be assessed and our systems are currently down, therefore we are not open.
We hope to have more information by Tuesday for next weeks reservations.
Please reach out to the booking company in which you reserved to either reschedule or cancel for a refund.
Thank you for your understanding as we recover from the damages of hurricane Milton.

In preparation for Hurricane Milton, Makai Beach Resort will not be accepting reservations today through Thursday October 10th.
Our beachside areas of Volusia County will have an evacuation order in place by 8am Wednesday morning, as bridge closures will most likely be in effect with winds speeds over 39mph.
The safety of our staff and guests are our first priority.
We anticipate reopening Thursday evening, assuming power is restored and assessment on any damages, or safety concerns.
We apologize for any inconvenience as we navigate the days ahead.
