We've been asked why our rates sometimes differ across booking platforms, so here's a quick explanation.

Airbnb, VRBO, and other booking sites charge hosts different fees, often ranging from several percent to 15% or more of the reservation cost. To keep pricing consistent, we set a base rate and adjust it slightly on each platform to help cover those fees.

That's why you may see a different price for the same stay depending on where you book. In most cases, booking directly through a host's website offers the best value because there are fewer third-party fees involved.

Like many short-term rental owners, we also manage rising costs for cleaning, maintenance, utilities, internet, insurance, permits, property taxes, and general upkeep.
