• The Ascent Construction Update •

October brought the first snowfall of the season to Park City! Despite the chill in the air, our crews have continued to make significant progress on the building. Framers have completed 50% of the walls on Level 2. This structural framing is one of the essential aspects of the building process and ensures that the future walls will withstand the weight distributed on them.

Additionally, space is continuing to open up for vehicles and materials on site thanks to continual waterproofing and backfilling. Maximizing these open spaces increases work efficiency and productivity for our crew members.

The underground plumbing and electrical work are partially complete and the metal stairs in one of the stair shafts are being installed. All the interior slab-on-grade concrete will move toward completion and the final area of excavation will begin! November promises to bring exciting progress and the start of new elements to The Ascent. Estimated completion is scheduled for 2023/2024 Ski Season.

September has brought exciting progress as the Ascent continues to climb skyward.

The Podium Level concrete is now 60% complete, and it looks like framing for the upper podium level is on the horizon.

September was a busy month with significant progress, and October promises to bring the start of new elements on the building. Our crews are doing great work, and we are excited to see the progress October brings!

We’re celebrating the New Year in style at Canyons Village with live music, fireworks and sweet treats! After your day on the slopes, ring in the New Year early with us. We’ll have DJ Velvet playing tunes in the Village from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. followed by a live performance from The Coverdogs at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks go off at 7:30 p.m. and we’ll be handing out complimentary cookies and hot cocoa while supplies last. Happy New Year! Free and open to the public!
