I apologize, I forgot to post this to Facebook a couple of weeks ago.
I will no longer be outfitting. We are now under contract on our second farm in Iowa. My family and I have absolutely fell in love with the area, so we decided to just go ahead and stay here permanently. It was a fun adventure, thankful for all of the people I’ve met. Blessed that I am able to live out my dream in the Whitetail world. Bigger things are in the works, stay tuned.

My kids call this my brainiversary. Two years ago today I had a brain tumor removed off of the base of my brain and the top of my spine. Hard to believe all of these pictures were taken in the same year. The biggest question I get asked is how in the world did you go from living in East Tennessee to moving to southern Iowa? Well, when you spend four months leading up to brain surgery with the expectation of possibly dying, you have a little different perspective on life. Without that experience, I would’ve never followed my dreams which has always been chasing big whitetails. Moral the story… if you want to do something.. do it while you can! Thankful to all the people I’ve met in the one short year I have been doing this, and all of the doors it has opened up for me and my family.

VICE PRESIDENT!! First buck with a bow!! Just turned 13. He paid his dues this year. Not only has he helped me prep, plant, and strategize over 1500 acres this year. He’s logged over 45 days of hunting, multiple all day sits. I’ve made him pass around 20 awesome 3 1/2 year old bucks this year. Cold weather hit and we started targeting some older management bucks on one farm in particular. Old mature 8 pointer showed up in standing beans we drilled in with RTP Outdoors . Gavin made it happen out of a dynamite Diamond Blinds … Awesome hunt and well deserved. Very proud dad.

Another Full Draw Stud! Congratulations Chad!!! Hunting was tough last week in Pike county, east wind and warm temps. Last day of the hunt and Chad connected with this stud. 1,800 yard track job and we just simply lost blood. Landowner found the buck 2 days later. He actually died in his cows feed lot. Icing on the cake of a great week and a great group of guys.
