Turns out you don’t need fast food to catch the attention of Fast Food Club. 😄

Despite Lanesboro having no traditional fast food restaurants, the online food and travel publication recently featured our little Bluff Country town as a perfect place to “spend a slow, relaxing day trip,” highlighting the Root River, biking, local history and the scenery that makes this corner of Minnesota so special.

Of course, we’d argue one day is just the beginning. 😉

UPDATE: The closure has been postponed to August 17.

Another closure is coming to Hwy. 52 at the I-90 interchange southeast of Rochester.

The highway will be closed in both directions beginning at 5 a.m. Monday.

It comes as crews continue building a new I-90 westbound overpass at the interchange.
