This weekend several residents from our community got together to beautify the front gate gardens. They look amazing! A special thanks to Mona, our grounds committee chair for organizing this event. We also want to recognize Nicole who designed the beds and picked the plants out.

WFS welcomed Lymphatic Education & Research Network, Philly Tri-State Chapter to the property so they could do a photo shoot of the Ben Franklin Bridge. The bridge was lit in teal for World Lymphedema Day and the photo shoot included good old Ben Franklin himself as well as some WFS residents! Donate a Toy to NLNA's Operation Santa!
WFS is thrilled to partner again with Northern Liberties Neighbors Association to support the Operation Santa project. The project serves dozens of households and hundreds of kids in the greater Northern Liberties area. Operation Santa aims to provide at least one gift and a book to each child as well as a holiday meal to each family. Funding for the meals and other support comes from the Penn Treaty SSD. Toy donations come from Northern Liberties neighbors, particularly Waterfront Square.
Please consider donating a new toy to this worthwhile project. Collection boxes are in the lobbies. Toys will be collected through December 18th.

Many WFS residents are probably happy to see this eyesore go! The long vacant nightclub, Phlirt, is being demolished today. The adjacent bus depot garages were demolished last week. In their place, a 488 unit, mixed-use development with over 14,000 sq. ft. of retail space is planned. A welcome improvement to our neighborhood!
