The civic will hold its meeting this Tuesday, April 14th, at 7:00 pm, Walker Lodge, 1290 Southampton road. We have one zoning issue.

428 Larkspur Street is seeking a variance to convert the garage into additional living space.

We also have a speaker, Dave Shallcross, from the Pa attorney general’s office will speak about scams affecting the community.

Announcements and PSA 3 with some comments from the elected officials will also be heard.

March 10th Somerton Civic
meeting will be held at 7:00 pm at Walker Lodge, 1290 Southampton Road

12018 and 12030 Bustleton Avenue is seeking a variance for the building of 66 housing units in 11 buildings. The board and members have many questions and concerns which will be discussed.

We will also hold the PSA 3 meeting with the 7th district and will have announcements from the local politicians.

February 10th Civic Meeting, 1290 Southampton Road, Walker lodge, at 7:00 pm

Our civic meeting has one zoning variance request for 801 Selma Street to enclose a garage.

428 Larkspur street has cancelled for this month and will reschedule.

We will be discussing some upcoming zoning variance requests that will affect our neighborhood.

We will also have our PSA meeting and will hear from our local politicians.

Civic Meeting Agenda for December 9th, 2025

This Tuesday,December 9th, the Civic will meet beginning at 7:00 PM at the Walker Lodge of the I.O.O.F., 1290 Southampton Road.

We are still accepting donations for the Caring for Friends food bank, if you are able to donate you can bring it to the meeting and we will get it to the food bank. There are many seniors and disabled who need help this winter. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as the food bank is very low in supplies this year.

There are also two zoning appeals to discuss on Tuesday.

303 Avon Street is seeking a variance to add a business in the garage of a single family home. This requires a variance because the property is zoned for a single family home with no attached businesses.

834 Avon Street is seeking a variance to enclose the garage. This requires a variance because the zoning code requires a parking space off the street the enclosing the garage would negate that.

The board may have a few announcements. The Civic meeting will host the PSA 3 meeting, and elected officials or their staff may attend and speak as well.

The next Civic meeting is this Tuesday, November 11th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Walker Lodge, 1290 Southampton Road. We'll host a guest speaker from the local nonprofit group Caring for Friends. If you can, bring a Thanksgiving food item from the list at the link below to the meeting for Caring for Friends's food drive. Also, we'll discuss two zoning appeals about a proposed personal services use in a house at 303 Avon Street and a ho**ah lounge at 14250-60 Bustleton Avenue.

We'll discuss our recent tree giveaway in partnership with MaST Community Charter School as well as zoning appeals at 13400 Philmont Avenue, 485 Pinewood Road, 157-61 Byberry Road, 10012 Sandmeyer Lane, and 830 Avon Road.
