Absolutely hated to have a big Oak tree cut at Shambala, but it was a safety risk we felt. Plus, a power line is going in front of it which would pose a big issue down the road for sure.

While cleaning up the debris and stacking some of the wood for guests, I noticed something sitting pretty on her nest. Don’t you just love wildlife? I sure love experiencing it at Shambala.

Bobby and I never take for granted when people chose our cabin to enjoy their family time together. Never! For guests to use their money, time and vacation days at Shambala means so much to us. So, imagine how this video made me smile to see a glimpse of such entertainment and family time happening at Shambala! Goodness, this young man is a talented banjo player! He plays several instruments they say.
We are so blessed with awesome and talented guests! We love it and are very thankful for videos of such and guests like these.

Zoie and I took off today for a stroll to see the progress of the riverwalk. The riverwalk can soon be reached less than 1/2 a mile from Shambala. You’ll be able to walk a very short distance from Shambala to Dollywood lane, cross over Dollywood Lane, get onto the riverwalk at that point and walk to The Old Mill District and Patriot Park. That’s a total of 0.9 mile from Shambala to The Old Mill Restaurant, ice cream shop and shopping . From this point, you can walk a short distance thru the residential area to get back on the riverwalk. This will take you on to the Leconte center (1.7 miles from Shambala) and then to The Island. (2.2 miles from Shambla). The island is a great spot to enjoy!
Shambala is in a great location no doubt!The riverwalk even continues more from this point and passes places such as mini golf, go cart tracks and much more. Here are some pictures of the progress of the riverwalk. Will be nice when completed and a great place to ride bikes and walk in order to get to many great destinations in Pigeon Forge.
