THANK YOU to the Butler County Extension Master Gardeners Association for coming to Pine Apple and helping with a landscape plan for the Matheson Library! Let us know if you are interested in helping as we make plans to have Pine Apple looking its best for the Wilcox Historical Society's Tour of Homes here on March 20, 2027.

🎀📸 Lucy & LaRue Visit Pine Apple! 📸🎀

We were delighted to welcome the ladies from Adventures with Lucy and LaRue to Pine Apple this week! Dressed in their fabulous 1950s-inspired outfits, colorful hats, and signature wigs, Lucy and LaRue brought plenty of laughter, fun, and Southern charm as they explored our little town.

From posing under historic magnolia trees to discovering local landmarks and sharing stories along the way, they captured the spirit of Pine Apple in a way only Lucy and LaRue can. Their videos and photos are sure to bring a smile to your face!

We were especially glad that Kitty Lamkin was at the Pine Apple Library to welcome them to Pine Apple and share some of our town's rich history.

Children ages Pre-K and Up are invited to participate in a special patriotic mixed media art camp celebrating America’s 250th Birthday!

📍 Friendship Baptist Church – Pine Apple, Alabama

🎨 Camp will be taught by professional artists from the
Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center

Young artists will explore:

Patriotic-themed art
American history through creativity
Mixed media painting and crafts
Fun hands-on projects celebrating America 250
