Dear CFU 5K Participants,
It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of today’s CFU 5K: Strides for Scholarships & Hope.
Unfortunately, the continued heavy rainfall has caused significant flooding along our racecourse, making conditions unsafe for our participants and volunteers. With no indication that the rain will let up, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s event. The safety of everyone involved must always come first.
SHIRT & MEDAL PICKUP
We know that everyone was looking forward to receiving their commemorative race shirts and finisher medals, and we want to make sure everyone gets theirs!
* If you are already on your way or still wish to stop by, our team will be at the North Park Boathouse distributing shirts and medals.
* We anticipate remaining on-site until approximately 10:00–11:00 AM, weather and conditions permitting.
* If you cannot make it today, don’t worry! We are working on a plan to distribute shirts and medals to all registered participants. A follow-up email will be sent with additional information once those arrangements are finalized.
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU
Although Mother Nature had other plans for us today, we cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who registered, donated, volunteered, and supported this inaugural event.
A very special thank you goes out to all of our generous sponsors whose contributions helped make this event possible. Your generosity and commitment to our mission are greatly appreciated.
Most importantly, your participation and support have helped us raise funds for two incredible causes: the CFU Scholarship Foundation and our charitable efforts benefiting the hospital in Zabok, Croatia.
While we are disappointed that we won’t be able to celebrate together on the course today, the generosity, enthusiasm, and support shown by our CFU family and friends have already made this inaugural event something truly special.
Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and most of all, your support.
Please stay safe and watch your email for additional information regarding shirt and medal distribution.
With sincere appreciation,
Derek Hohn
