Here’s what is… ⬇️
To be noticed in today’s marketing landscape is harder than ever.
Because let’s be honest…people have cheaper and more convenient options basically banging down their front door and body tackling them into submission.
Which means that for small business owners, it’s hard out here for a pimp.
If you sell a RESULT, a SERVICE, or a PROCESS…
You’re not just selling what you DO anymore, you’re selling who you ARE.
AKA: the rules of engagement are changing.
What isn’t working:
- Faceless, regurgitated clickbait
- Stuffy, overgeneralized messaging
- Being afraid to get to know your audience
- “Build it and they will come”
What IS working:
- Real, vulnerable story sharing
- Putting every ounce of your personality in your message, website, emails, videos, etc.
- Building it WITH your audience
- Community-based, organic marketing to warm audiences
When you show up and show confidence by being visible, transparent, human, and unafraid of your own personality, your customers feed off that energy.
You offer something valuable they can’t get from Jeff Bezos: genuine connection.
Because QUICK POLL: when was the last time you signed up for a newsletter, followed someone on social media, or clicked on a website because you thought that person explained what they did reeeeeally well?
I’m willing to bet, um, never (?).
WHAT they do isn’t compelling enough in and of itself to make you invest your time and money in someone.
So why would it be compelling enough to make someone invest in you?
We don’t want to see the WHAT anymore. We want to see the HOW:
HOW they do it.
HOW they connect.
HOW they mess up.
HOW they succeed.
HOW they transform.
HOW they support.
HOW they connect.
This is the time to go all in on being a HOW person.
And the best news?
