The Bentley House is saddened to announce the loss of their beloved kitty, Queso “Questos” Kojzarek-Nettle. Queso was a blind cat, rescued by Sharon 6 years ago. He was a sweet orange kitty but he also had a very spicy side. You learned, usually the hard way, how to read him. While he had few remaining teeth, he had very sharp murder claws that you didn’t want to meet. Queso came to Vermont by way of Austin, Texas; as a well regarded office cat sought out when clients visited. In Vermont, he adapted well to his surroundings and developed an affinity for lying atop Sharon’s head at bed time. I was always impressed he could climb up and off of the bed with no sight. And even without it, he still brought us gifts. Our room is full of little stuffed mice. We are very sad at his passing but relieved he is no longer in pain. Our dear boy, may the heavens provide you treats to your hearts content, and may you have sight once again. We love you always ❤️💐.

This mornings breakfast dish is a kielbasa, onion, and apple strata, with a Mornay sauce and a honey drizzle. Not pictured: the honey drizzle. Probably a new item for the recipe book.

A Bentley House Voyager is a person or persons who have stayed in all five of our guest rooms over the course of time. Carol and Jim are our first guests who have achieved this level of recognition. They get a nifty certificate along with their name proudly affixed to a display plaque in our house. Being they are the first, it will be a fairly empty plaque.

Congratulations to both for this achievement and we hope to see other Voyagers in our home down the road.
