From loading trucks and hauling dance floor panels to deliveries, installations, and everything in between, he’s the one putting in the work behind the scenes to help make it all happen.

Running a business together means a lot of long days, hard work, and figuring things out as we go. I couldn’t do it without him, and I’m grateful I get to build this business alongside him.

This week was a great mix of table and chair deliveries, dance floor installations, and a mobile cooler delivery. With 13 events on the schedule, there was plenty happening behind the scenes!

The highlight of the week was getting to see the progress at Spring Lake Wedding Venue! It's exciting to see the construction coming along, and the venue is expected to be ready in January. We've already received a couple of inquiries for 2027 events there, and we're looking forward to seeing it all come together and can't wait for the opportunity to set up there!

The highlight of this week was finally getting to do our first event at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art! This was the last venue on our list that we had been itching to work at, so getting to check it off was a pretty exciting milestone for us.

We also had three room flips this week. Room flips always come with their own set of logistical challenges, but there's something fun about being right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle as everything comes together in a short amount of time.

We also debuted two new dance floor looks this week! Our Black Oak Dance Floor made its first appearance, along with our Black Oak & White Oak Checkered Dance Floor.

We're still right in the middle of busy wedding season, and we're loving every bit of it. Another week down! Stay tuned for next week's recap... 👀

When the sprayer on the power mop stops working in the middle of a room flip...

You improvise.

No time to troubleshoot the batteries, see if the sprayer is clogged, figure out whether the power mop just bit the dust, or run back to the truck for the spare. The room needed to be ready, so we found a workaround and kept moving.

Not every dance floor install goes according to plan. You just have to be able to adapt when it doesn't.

And yes, the mop was eventually fixed. 😂

This week broke our record from two weeks ago and is now officially our busiest week since starting Rustic Wedding & Event Rentals over a year ago!

We started delivering on Wednesday and were still picking up orders on Tuesday. It was a long week, but we had a great mix of dance floors, chairs, and tables rentals, along with two mobile cooler deliveries.

Up until now, I haven't included KC Mobile Coolers in our weekly stats since it's our sister company. But it's still us doing the work, and it's still a rental, so moving forward, we're going to start including those deliveries in our weekly recaps, too!

We also had the chance to visit two new venues this week: The Bell of Camden Point and The Gallery.

Most of our events this week were at residential locations, which definitely made things a little more interesting with all the rain we had. Between the weather, the number of orders, and the sheer amount of driving, this was one for the books!

Another record-breaking week in the books. We're tired, but incredibly grateful for how much this business has grown. 🫶
