When we are working with 2 new horses, after I have ridden them several times, it’s time to put family on them. They will have several more rides on the trail before they make the lineup. Buddy, the one Logan is on is ready now. Chuck, the one Alisa is on has a little spirit to him. Alisa loves Chuck. Reminds her of her Rodeo Queening horse Little Bar.

James and Nathan from England here visiting family and staying in the cabin for a couple of days. Besides booking a ride, fishing is part of the cabin experience. I put 50 more catfish in the pond about 2-3 years ago. I haven’t fished for them and wondered if they were down there…… they are. James and Nathan have proved it. People just need to fish as it’s getting dark and use the right bait.

Definitely one of our hardest days here at EFA. I haven’t given an update on Henry because he just wasn’t acting himself. He never could quite recover from that choke. He took his meds, drank water and would eat some grass but he just hung out by himself in his safe space in the barn. When we came home today, I commented to Alisa, Henry is with the others, that’s a good sign. But as soon as he saw the truck he started walking towards the barn. By his walk I could tell something was very wrong. I grabbed the halter and met him about 20 yds from the barn and led him to his safe space where the water was. He looked at me, took one last breath and collapsed and died on the spot. Needless to say, I struggled. He waited to say good bye and then ended on his terms. He will forever be remembered as an absolute favorite. We will miss him dearly.

Mike and Victoria’s honeymoon excursion! They shot 22s, ate one of Alisa’s home cooked lunches and then did the mountain ride. What a great way to spend a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains.
