little things that make the farmhouse feel like home. Pieces collected over the years, treasures found along the way, and details that each hold a good story. Nothing too perfect, nothing without meaning. Slowly trying to share a glimpse into the house that means so much to us- the memories we’ve created and shared with so many others.

Heading back to the farm today, this time with my husband, our girls… and two new additions. 🤍

We’re rescuing two barn cats from a local shelter currently caring for more than 80 cats in need of loving homes. There’s something really special about being able to give an animal a safe place to land—and around here, there’s always room for one more furry friend.

The girls are already dreaming up names, and we’re hoping these two settle into farm life, make a few new friends, and decide that an old Vermont barn is a pretty magical place to call home.

Can’t wait to introduce them. 🐾🍂🖤

One of our favorite views in the house. 🤍

We’ve spent lots of moments- looking out this window — before kids, through pregnancies, in those hazy postpartum days, and now with little ones running through the house. Watching the seasons come and go, each one changing the view just a little. The old slate roof had to be repaired when we purchased the home- a local craftsman took his time getting up on the roof replacing each shingle one by one- with slate from ages ago.

Most recently, I’ve watched my husband rebuild the old fence line, opening the view back up to this beautiful pasture that once was home to Icelandic horses.

Maybe one day our four-year-old will get her wish and there will be a pony grazing out there again. Until then, we’re happy to share this little corner of Vermont with those who come here to slow down, stay awhile, and take in the views. 🤍

Sharing this one because it feels like such a sweet little snapshot of life lately. 🤍

Our 4-year-old has been asking for a pet of her own for what feels like forever. Between our rescue dogs, rescue pigs, and two littles, we weren’t quite ready to add another big responsibility to the mix… so chickens felt like the perfect compromise.

We brought these girls home as tiny chicks from our local garden center, and watching them grow has been such a joy. Our oldest daughter and my husband have taken over most of the morning routine — fresh food and water, checking on everyone, and of course lots of holding, loving, and naming. 🐓

We’ve been a little quieter on here lately, too. Just trying to be present, enjoy our home and our family, and find a balance between sharing, scrolling and putting down the phone to just think of how to balance and make it all work!

But we’re excited to slowly start sharing again — the projects, the animals, the farm, slowly and intentional.
