– Fireworks Over the Matanzas

Looking for the perfect spot to celebrate Independence Day? There’s no better place than right here in St. Augustine! Guests at Pier Point South are just steps away from one of the most spectacular events of the summer — Fireworks Over the Matanzas.

🎶 Live Music & Patriotic Vibes

Kick off your evening with a free concert in the Plaza de la Constitución, featuring The All-Star Orchestra playing patriotic favorites and big band tunes from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Bring a chair or blanket and soak in the atmosphere under the stars.

🎇 Fireworks Over the Bay

At 9:30 PM, the sky lights up with a stunning 20-minute fireworks display launched over the scenic Matanzas Bay. The show is choreographed to music and visible from many spots along the bayfront — including the area near the Bridge of Lions and Castillo de San Marcos. It’s a must-see and one of the most popular events in town!

🅿️ Parking & Shuttles

Street parking and most city lots are free on July 4th

The Historic Downtown Parking Facility is available for $20 per car

A free park-and-ride shuttle service runs from 6:00 PM to midnight from Anastasia Island

Many streets downtown will close around 8:00 PM, so plan to arrive early

After the fireworks, expect delays leaving the downtown area — consider hanging out a bit longer to avoid the traffic

🧭 Tips for Pier Point Guests

Arrive downtown by 6:30 PM to find a good viewing spot and enjoy the concert

Wear comfy shoes — there’s a good bit of walking and standing

Bring water, snacks, or grab dinner downtown early
