It was a gorgeous California day as we were joined by legions of folks from the East Coast and Midwest. Both the ceremony and reception were held at Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz, a gorgeous venue in all respects. We had a view of sailboats on the ocean, plunging canyons and best of all a lovely bridal party with a unique and spectacular orange hued motif. The bridesmaids were all in different shades and styles while the groomsmen sported orange ties, and even the officiant had and orange striped tie. It was a dancing crowd, as the entire room joined in on the dance floor after the first dances with the bride, groom and (not so) traditional father/daughter, mother/son dances. They all started with a slow dance, then transitioned into everything from Saturday Night Fever to the Bunny Hop! Well played by all. We finished up by the outdoor fire pits and in the lounge, to catch our newlyweds relaxing in the splendor of it all.
