Hi. I’m looking for someone local who loves making a home feel cared for 🏡✨

I’m looking for cleaning help around Dillon Beach and Bodega Bay and would love to connect with someone dependable, communicative, and thoughtful about the homes they care for.

Experience caring for guest-ready homes is a plus, especially if you’re comfortable helping with:

• Cleaning on checkout days, including weekends and same-day turnovers
• Providing consistent, reliable cleaning each time
• Keeping in touch and communicating reliably
• Restocking supplies and keeping an eye on anything that may need to be ordered
• Letting me know right away if you notice a maintenance issue, damage, or something that needs attention
• Doing a final check to make sure everything is secure, cared for, and ready for the next guests

I’d love to find someone I can build a good working relationship with, someone who notices the little things and takes pride in leaving a home feeling welcoming 😊

And if you know someone around Dillon Beach or Bodega Bay
who might be a good fit, I’d appreciate you sharing this with them 💛

Some Sonoma County mornings deserve a croissant and nowhere else to be 🥐

If your idea of a good morning involves flaky pastry, fresh coffee and enough time to actually enjoy both, add Pascaline French Bistro & Patisserie to your Santa Rosa list.

Tucked into Montgomery Village, Pascaline brings a little French sensibility to Sonoma County through classic pastries, breakfast and lunch made with local ingredients.

You might stop in for a butter or almond croissant and coffee.

Or stay for lunch and make it part of an unhurried afternoon in Santa Rosa. Their lunch menu is served daily from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM, while the bistro itself is open from 8 AM–4 PM.

And if you happen to be visiting at the right time, Pascaline also hosts monthly pop-up dinners built around local winemakers or seasonal themes.

It's the kind of local place we love sharing because it doesn't need to become the entire day's itinerary.

It can simply be one very good part of it.

Save Pascaline for a future Santa Rosa morning, or for that afternoon when wine-country plans call for something a little slower.

And when you're planning the rest of your Sonoma County stay, booking directly with Sonoma Vacation Home Solutions keeps your home base local, too.

Are you choosing t he pastry case or settling in for lunch? Tell us which one.

Fall in wine country has a way of making you want to stay a little longer 🍂

The light softens.
The landscape begins to change.
And somehow, an open afternoon feels like enough.

At Wine Country Retreat, the best parts of a fall weekend don't have to be complicated.

A slow morning surrounded by nature.
A few hours wandering through Sonoma County.
Dinner and a glass of wine somewhere nearby.
Then back home, where the evening can stretch out without another place you need to be.

Maybe that's the real luxury of getting away..not filling every hour with plans, but having a beautiful place where you don't mind leaving a few hours completely empty.

Wine Country Retreat gives those quieter moments room to happen.

And when you're ready for a few days in Sonoma County, booking directly with Sonoma Vacation Home Solutions keeps the experience personal and uncomplicated from the start.

If your ideal fall weekend had one completely unplanned afternoon, how would you spend it?

Some of the best Sonoma County afternoons happen when the whole community comes together 🍻

On September 12, the 12th Annual Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival returns to downtown Petaluma for an afternoon along the river.

From 1–5 PM, Water Street fills with North Bay craft breweries, local food, live music and the easygoing community spirit that makes Petaluma such a good place to linger.

And there is plenty of local flavor in the lineup, from Sonoma County breweries to Petaluma restaurants and food makers.
What we especially appreciate about this festival is the purpose behind the afternoon.

Hosted by Petaluma Valley Rotary and Petaluma Sunrise Rotary, proceeds help support nonprofit and community projects.

So yes, come for a taste of Northern California craft beer.
Stay for the music, the food, the riverfront setting and an afternoon that feels distinctly Petaluma.

It’s one more reason to make a few days of Sonoma County rather than simply pass through.

And when you’re planning where to stay, booking directly with Sonoma Vacation Home Solutions means having a local team to help make the stay feel just as considered as the days around it.

Save this for September, or tell us: which Sonoma County fall tradition belongs on everyone’s list?

Fall on the Mendocino Coast has a quieter rhythm.
The morning doesn't need much of a plan.

Maybe you wander down toward the nearby community beach and spend a while listening to the water.
Maybe lunch stretches into the afternoon, followed by a drink somewhere nearby and nowhere else you particularly need to be.
And eventually, you come back to Cozy Sea View Cabin.

Shoes off.
Something warm to drink.
The ocean still close enough to shape the mood of the evening.

That's what makes a fall stay on the Mendocino Coast feel different.

There can be beaches to wander, local restaurants to discover and places to explore, but there can also be whole stretches of the weekend when nothing needs your attention.
Just cool coastal air, the people you came with, and a little more room to slow down.

Cozy Sea View Cabin isn't about filling every hour of your getaway.
It's about giving those hours somewhere peaceful to unfold.
When the coast starts calling, booking directly with Sonoma Vacation Home Solutions keeps the experience personal and simple from the beginning.

What does your ideal fall day on the Mendocino Coast end with: the ocean, dinner somewhere local, or a quiet evening back at the cabin?

Some weekends give you more than a reason to visit the Mendocino Coast. They let you experience what makes this community special 🍷🌿

September brings one of those weekends.
Winesong returns September 11–12, bringing wine, food, music and community together along the Mendocino Coast.
Friday begins with an intimate Pinot Noir Celebration at Little River Inn.
Then on Saturday, the celebration moves to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, where wineries and other beverage producers join local chefs and musicians among gardens that stretch toward the Pacific.

But what makes Winesong especially worth knowing about isn't only what's being poured.

The event supports the Mendocino Coast Healthcare Foundation, helping strengthen rural healthcare for the people who call this coastline home.
It's a beautiful reminder that some of the best travel experiences allow us to enjoy a place while also supporting the community behind it.

If you've been thinking about a September escape to Mendocino County, this is the kind of local tradition worth building a few coastal days around.
And when you're ready to decide where to stay, booking directly with Sonoma Vacation Home Solutions gives you a local point of contact for the trip.

Save this for September, or tell us: have you experienced Winesong before?

There comes a point during every coastal getaway when you stop checking the time.

Maybe it's the quiet morning light coming through the windows, coffee before anyone else is awake, or sinking into the hot tub after a day of wandering the coastline while cool ocean air replaces the inland heat.

At Peek a Bay View Cottage, summer isn't about doing more. It's about finally having room to slow down.

Spend your days watching for whales offshore, hiking beneath towering redwoods, discovering local restaurants and waterfront bars, or exploring nearby beaches and trails. Then come home, put your feet up, and let the evening settle in around you.

The best part of a coastal vacation isn't usually the biggest adventure.

It's realizing you've completely forgotten what you were rushing toward before you arrived.

Some places help you see more, others simply help you breathe a little deeper.

What helps you truly unwind when you're on the coast?

One of Bodega Bay's best Sunday traditions isn't on the beach!

If you're spending the weekend on the Sonoma Coast, consider starting your Sunday at the Bodega Bay Community Farmers Market.

Through the end of October, local growers, ranchers, fishers, bakers, artisans, and food vendors gather behind the Bodega Bay Community Center to share what they've created. You'll find seasonal produce, fresh seafood, artisan breads, local cheeses, olive oils, handmade treats, and live music that invites you to slow down rather than rush through your morning. The market runs Sundays from 10 AM–2 PM.

It's less about checking off another stop on your itinerary and more about experiencing the community that makes this stretch of the coast so memorable.

Pick up something fresh for lunch, chat with the people behind the stands, then spend the rest of your afternoon exploring the shoreline.

Sometimes the best souvenirs are the conversations, flavors, and moments you never planned for.

Would this be your first stop in Bodega Bay, or do you have another local favorite?

Mornings feel different here.

Not better. Just… slower.

You wake up and don’t move right away.
No reason to.

Light comes in gradually.
The house stays quiet.

You take your time getting up.

That part tends to stay with people.

It’s a good way to start a day.

It doesn’t feel like a destination at first.

You park, walk around a bit.

Not really sure where you’re going.

Then you notice it.

Small shops. Open space. People taking their time.

The Barlow has that effect.

You don’t need a plan.

You just keep walking until something catches your attention.

Usually does.

Some places are better when you leave room for them.
