We stayed in a 117-year-old hotel The Gibson Inn where the front desk still tells the same ghost story they've been telling for decades. The Gibson Inn has been the heart of Apalachicola since 1907, survived hurricanes, changed hands more times than anyone can count, and somehow still feels like walking into 1910. Widow's walk on the roof, wraparound porches, a bar that's been serving the same crowd of shrimpers and snowbirds for years.

This town does not get enough credit. No chains, no traffic, oysters pulled out of the bay that morning.
