About
Past Four Corners is crowdsourced and community collaborative archive for Photos and Stories of the Four Corners and all Communities that claim residence near the only quadripoint in the United States. This is a time capsule of the past and innovative way to preserve photos and stories of the Region that would otherwise sit dormant and possibly fade into oblivion. These are our photos/stori

es, your photos/photos for the world to see. We want Photos of the Shiprock old Hotel, A story of a band aid purchase that led to a chocolate milkshake at Mesa Drug in Farmington, a candid with your grandparents, Stuff that brings the past alive. So fire up those scanners and go through those scrapbooks and help us document history! random candids or souvenirs!. We want to see YOUR Four Corners told by the people that lived it! DISCLAIMER: The images posted here are for nostalgia and educational purposes and comment only. I am a curator of thousands of images I've collected over the years, but most of them are found via Google which often does not always provide where they came from. But Past Four Corner's (P4C) will always list the photographer or image rights when that information is provided. So if you took a photo that was posted on here and it did not receive credit, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to give you image credit. Zefren Anderson

Navajos from Chinle acted in George B. Seitz adaptation of Zane Grey's "The Vanishing American" in 1925 and using accepted anthropological data reconstructed Navajo History for the Prologue into the story. In this Photo Navajos are depicted in their Summer wear before the contact with Ancestral Pueblos around 1200 AD. What isn't pictured is that Navajos of this time were expert skin workers able to make jackets and trousers that could keep you warm in sub zero temperatures.
