NEWS RELEASE: The Franklin County Community Development & Land Trust Corporation (501c3) presents “Depot Creek” featuring Jon Copps and Neal Jones, with Randall “Big Daddy” Webster opening, in a house concert 8:00pm Saturday February 23rd 2013 at 225 W. 10th Street, St. George Island Florida. Tickets are $15.00
“Depot Creek” is a stellar Americana group melding the best of American Folk and Roots music for a brilliant performance. Multi-instrumentalist Jon Copps plays guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandolin, dobro, and lap steel guitar. Copps roots are from Frostproof Florida, and he now lives in Tallahassee Florida from where he’s toured the country and overseas including an Ireland tour with Randall “Big Daddy” Webster a few years back. The Emerald Coast native is a real “tub thumper” tastefully driving the rhythm section of whatever ensemble he’s performing with. Together Copps and Jones will take you on an acoustic tour of the very best in Americana and Roots music.
Randall “Big Daddy” Webster opens the show with a solo acoustic set. He’s toured overseas 54 times to 28 countries, release 8 CDs, and his ministry of Blues peppered with Soul, Jazz and life entertains crowds with his original music. This house concert is a rare opportunity to hear incredible music in an intimate acoustic environment where the performance is a true conversation between the audience and the artist. If you’ve never been to a house concert, this will be a great one! Please bring a small covered dish or food item for 5-6 people… everyone will graze before and after the show.
The Franklin County Community Development & Land Trust Corporation (FCCD<C) is a 501c3 Florida Not-For-Profit housing provider. FCCD<C raises awareness and resources for safe decent housing in Franklin County. FCCD<C has presented homebuyer education classes, homebuyer workshops and seminars, and is currently facilitating lower income Franklin County famailies wishing to own their own home.
