Our next major project up at our cabin: tackling this room! 😅
We need to rip up the flooring and see what’s going on under there, deal with some damage on the walls, hopefully re-glass the fancy old windows, fix a wall… the list is getting longer & longer!!

However- I am SO EXCITED to show you the progress and the design I have in my mind to make this house a nautical oasis ⚓️🤩

I would LOVE recommendations on what you envision this room to look like!
Color, decor, flooring, anything!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

We’ve been doing a ton of work here at the Catch On The Canal!! After having to dig up our entire backyard to fix the seawall issue, we have been working nonstop over the last month + to get this house looking amazing again!

Here is a sneak peek of just one of the areas we’ve upgraded in the backyard.. This spot still has a long way to go- but is looking great so far!! We’ve got lights to add, grass to grow, & a ton more to finish~ but I love how this brick patio and firepit combo turned out🤩🪵🐟🎣

The chairs are also super fancy- they have a pull out cupholder with a slot for sunglasses, a key hook, & a spot for your phone!🕶️☀️

S/o to Bob & Melissa for having all of these extra patio pavers we got for free — so this whole project cost us less than $200 (including all 6 chairs!!) 🎉💵

We’ve been sitting on this one for a while…

The same day we found out about our seawall project (and everything that came with it 😅), we were also planning to announce something really exciting. But priorities shifted, & we hit pause to make sure the Seawall was fixable before announcing--

Now that the Seawall is DONE, we’re finally ready to share 🙌

We’re officially participating in a turkey hunting contest—and the prize?

🏆 A 2-night stay for the first-place winners at our Cabin Airbnb, The Catch on the Canal, in Standish, MI! ( In addition to a ton of other amazing prizes in the prize package! )

If you (or someone you know) loves to hunt, this is your sign to get in on it. It’s going to be a great time, and we can’t wait to host the winners!

👉 See rules for details on Jessica Herek's recent post--

Let the competition begin!! 🦃🔥
