We recently hosted a tour for a group of college professors (JMU) with whom we are exploring long-term collaboration across a wide range of disciplines. Areas of focus include energy sustainability, environmental stewardship, watershed management, water quality, ecology, vegetation studies, microclimatology, and other interconnected environmental sciences.

Our commitment to regenerating and responsibly stewarding the land remains at the core of our mission. By partnering with leading experts in these fields, we aim not only to advance meaningful research and sustainable practices, but also to inspire and educate future generations of students.

Together, we hope to reinforce the belief that we are not owners of the forest, but its stewards — entrusted with protecting, restoring, and preserving it for those who come after us.

Neighborhood Engagement!

One of our priorities is maintaining communication with the local community and staying informed about neighborhood needs and concerns. Recently, we hosted a community tour for nearby residents to provide an overview of our project, share current development plans, and discuss ongoing efforts to support and improve local infrastructure.

To help minimize impacts on the surrounding community, we have implemented several measures to date, with additional initiatives planned as the project progresses:

1. Installed new road signage to encourage reduced speeds and improve driver awareness.
2. Added speed feedback signs to display posted limits and alert drivers to their current speed.
3. Coordinated delivery schedules for large equipment to avoid peak times, including school bus routes and standard commuting hours.
4. Soon to be installed riprap—large, durable stone placed to stabilize soil and prevent erosion in vulnerable areas.
5. Establishing water monitoring agreements with partnered properties to help ensure environmental protection and transparency.

We remain committed to being a responsible neighbor and will continue working closely with the community as development moves forward.
