Take the ride with me! The journey doesn’t just begin when I hit the road. 💙🚎
So, when I bought the bus in September, I had a set a bit of a timeline to have my bus mostly completed. I am so naive. LOL
In my mind, I figured I would have the bus done by March or April to get it out on the road for Spring & Summer. Well, it’s July, and here we are.
Since September, I took on a full-time job, as well as continuing my business , which has been gratefully busier than I could have ever hoped after the pandemic.
My time to work on the bus became much limited, and so did my motivation. There have been times I’ve been discouraged, and almost wanted to give up. But the moments I accomplish even the smallest task on the bus, are so gratifying.
So, I decided to compartmentalize things, and just focus on one thing at a time, and ideally, dropping the deadline, and enjoying the process along the way. And truly, what a journey it has been!Everything I am doing, I am learning along the way. I’ve never framed walls, or a slide out sofa/bed, or done plumbing, but here we are.
So instead of putting all this unnecessary pressure on myself to “get it done”, I am enjoying the process of learning, designing, building, and creating. “success is a journey not a destination the doing is often more important than the outcome”
