How can small family-owned businesses support and promote the positive trajectory of the next generation?
By encouraging a positive, supportive community culture. There are young musicians in the area who are willing to donate their time & talent at our entertainment lodging venue on 280 ( https://fivestarwelcome.com/en/journeymans-stay-and-play )
to cross-promote each other and show the community the great stuff that's available here in Sylacauga. Look for an upcoming flyer for this 1st time event this August. We'll be giving away a free night at Stay& Play on 280 at the event as well as offering 20% discounts on futures stays if you book your next stay during the event. If you know of talent that would like to get involved, message us @ Sojourner Hospitality LLC. We are offering the space for promotional videography and periodic jam & planning sessions for free to local talent. Everything's better when we work together!

Please share!!! This was a magical weekend for our family, grilling and chilling together for our daughter's Baby in Blue BBQ on Sunday. We started on Friday, arranging the furnishings in the foyer, drawing room and dining room and decorating a good bit to rest and recieve family on Saturday (Sabbath). Family came early the night before to stay over and rest up to help with food prep the next morning. We got to enjoy a leisurely morning coffee on the porch, time together in the kitchen, welcoming early arrivals and lingering into the late afternoon. The kids enjoyed exploring and looking for "secret rooms in the castle". We took a bonus day to visit with our niece and her growing family from Mississippi. This is THE WAY to host a weekend event. No rushing, no pressure to get in and get out. Claw foot baths and good rest between activity makes the whole labor of love as enjoyable as the event itself. You can have this events lodging space from 8am the day before your event to 6pm the day of the event for 350 plus tax. Or the entire weekend, 8am Friday to 6pm Sunday for 700 plus tax.
