**Need your help**

Looking for restaurants, caters, and chefs in Southwest Georgia who are looking to support local farmers by purchasing straight from the fields and serving it on their menu. We are on the verge of Spring/Summer Harvesting Season which normally begins the 1st of May and goes strong until the 4th of July.

Right now, Local Farmers are growing collards, cabbage, southern peas, sweet corn, okra, watermelons, cantaloupes, peaches, plums, blueberries, strawberries, squash, zucchini, butternut squash, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers (hot & sweet), and red potatoes. Most of these will be ready any day now...exciting days ahead.

DM or place in the comment below any restaurants, caters, business, and chefs who will support local farmers from Southwest Georgia, Southeastern Alabama, and Florida Panhandle.

Did you know? As part of our community garden partnership, the Fresh & Free fridge is a great way to share produce with your neighbors. You can bring fruits, vegetables and cut flowers to the fridge to give away. Unopened, unexpired canned goods are also welcome. You can also visit the Free Fridge for information about how to cook and use common summer vegetables. If you'd like to try growing some vegetables, don't forget to pick up some seeds from the seed library.
