I have so many invitations to share! This classic spring Blue Hill wedding was one for the books! For her wedding invitation, my client wanted a design that included both beautiful wildflowers as well as a custom illustration of the venue. I partnered with for this lovely venue illustration. The soft pastels throughout the suite were perfect for this couple!

Cheers to a happy and healthy 2023! This year, we moved to Greenwich, CT, but Blake & Co. continues to serve people from all over the country! This past year, we worked on weddings, birthday parties, holiday cards, personalized stationery, business cards, and more. There’s something very special about white ink printing. It looks beautiful on any paper (as long as it’s not too light). Love how the ink popped on this rehearsal dinner invitation! We brought in the navy from the venue and also tied in the navy ink from the wedding invitation. Who else loves white ink?!

A wax seal is the perfect place to incorporate your custom monogram. Each wax seal is handmade and is made out of special sealing wax meant to endure the mailing process. I just love how this gold wax seal turned out for an upcoming Napa wedding!

Mini envelopes can be a life saver – particularly, during the pandemic when guest attendance can be…less than certain. Unlike an es**rt card with a pre-assigned table, mini envelopes afford the flexibility to change a guest’s table assignment at the last minute. For example, these envelopes are labeled with the name of the guest with a table number included inside – if a guest can’t make it, you can swap table numbers as needed. Happy New Year! 2021 was our first full year with our son which has been a blessing. Business thankfully picked back up now that events are happening again. Wishing everyone a healthy and happy new year!

Invitation Mats are wonderful for many purposes.
1) Transforms a single-thick invitation to double-thick (thick = luxury)
2) Adds color or contrast to your invitation - in this case the dusty rose invitation mat
3) Great way to incorporate another wedding color

If you like history, you’ll love wax seals! Back in the day, people used to seal their envelopes by melting wax onto the flap to ensure that the intended recipient would receive a letter unopened. While that’s not the case now, wax seals still look amazing and elevate an envelope!

So proud of how this invitation suite turned out. My client wanted an ethereal floral look but wasn’t sure how to achieve it. By talking through paper swatches and printing styles, we ended up with a beautiful result. My job is to transform your vision into a reality!

Assembly is LABOR INTENSIVE. Wedding invitation suites can take 15-20 hours of assembly (even for me!), which includes stuffing, sealing, stamping, and mailing (hand cancelled, of course). Assembly is also meticulous work that requires a perfectionist. Believe me when I tell you that you should avoid DIY assembly and leave it to the pros!

People often ask me about belly bands, which are the wrappers used to hold an invitation suite together. No one wants an invitation suite flying out of the envelope! This particular band is made out of a vellum that matches the invitation backing - SWOON.
